Children who are overweight also tend to be overweight as adults however there are things you can do to help your child achieve and maintain a healthy weight. A healthy weight is important for health – it reduces the risk of diseases like coronary heart disease, type 2 diabetes, osteoarthritis and some cancers.

Get Going is aimed at children who are overweight or obese, along with their parents/carers. This Healthy Weight Calculator can show you whether your child’s weight is outside the healthy range.

Parent/carers can self-refer a child onto the programme, to do so please complete the Self Referral Registration Form. Return completed forms to the Administrator.
