What can voluntary work do for me?
It provides an opportunity to:
Help other people, learn new skills, have fun, make new friends, improve your employability, increase confidence, become involved in the local community, access training opportunities and offer you a challenge.
Who can Volunteer?
We welcome anyone 16 years or over to apply to become a Volunteer ( NB you need to be 18 or over if you wish to volunteer with us to work with children). No special skills are required; all we ask is that you can offer your time, commitment and reliability.
Presently volunteers are involved in:
Befriending, guiding and welcoming, information giving, health promotion , helping at clinics and events , fundraising, peer support, library, café and shops, ward visitors, ward helpers, transport, chaplaincy, administrative support, research projects, organic gardening, therapeutic care and much more!
