Families and Carers

When a family member is diagnosed with a neurological illness or suffers a brain injury your life may also be significantly affected.

It can be very difficult to care for your loved one and find the time to maintain your social and personal life however is important that you continue to look after your own health and well-being. Continuing with your hobbies and interests as well as maintaining social contact with others will be good for your own emotional well-being.

Carer support groups can be extremely helpful as they allow you to share your experiences with other people who are in a similar situation. You can find a list of some support services by clicking this here.
