Skin-to-skin Contact After Birth

The MSLC have just started a working group to look at issues around skin-to skin contact after birth.
The group will meet on the same day and at the same venue as the MSLC meetings, from 11 am to 12 noon.

The initial meeting of the group took place on 11 February 2016.  This group will meet  after each MSLC in 2016.

We are currently gathering information and feedback.
An audit by NHS Lothain to see if current practice is in line with guidelines is planned within the year.  We are seeking feedback from user groups we have links to.  We are also encouraging FEEDBACK from all Lothian parents about their experience of skin-to-skin after birth.  Whether they knew about it, if they knew about the benefits, if they were offered to have skin-to-skin contact after birth of their baby, for how long, etc....

PLEASE GO TO THE FEEDBACK PAGE ON THIS WEBSITE TO TELL US ABOUT YOUR EXPERIENCE AND VIEWS ON THSI TOPIC
