What sort of patients are treated?

The Cullen Centre is an eating disorder service offering individual and group therapy for adults.  We provide assessment and treatment on an outpatient basis, adopting a matched care approach that links clinical need to model and intensity of treatment.  Psychological treatments offered fit with National Institute of Clinical Excellence (NICE) and Quality Improvement Scotland (QIS) guidelines.  The Cullen Centre works in partnership with Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS), Adult Mental Health Services and many other health, social care and third sector services across NHS Lothian.

We fully respect individual’s confidentiality.  As part of ethical practice therapists attend supervision and will discuss cases with appropriate colleagues.  Information relevant to a person’s treatment is shared with other involved health care professionals.  If a person is at risk or it was deemed that someone else might be at risk, information may be shared with other relevant services, such as social services, education services and police.
