The Edinburgh and Lothians voluntary group aims to provide support, help, companionship, education and information for people living with diabetes throughout Edinburgh, Mid and East Lothian.

The largest charitable organisation in the UK working for people with diabetes, funding research, campaigning and helping people live with the condition.


Diabetes in Scotland

The website of the Scottish Diabetes Group which advises the Scottish Government on issues relating to diabetes, coordinates the implementation of the Scottish Diabetes Framework and oversees the progress towards meeting the targets described in the Scottish Diabetes Action Plan.


SIGN (Scottish Intercollegiate Guidelines Network)

SIGN Guideline 116, published in March 2010, is the evidence based clinical guidelines for diabetes care in Scotland.

ECED delivers care in diabetes and endocrinology across NHS Lothian, through outpatient clinics and specialist inpatient teams. 

ECED is a focus for the provision of high-quality multi-disciplinary care.  This unified centre facilitates service development, quality improvement, training and education in endocrinology and diabetes in Edinburgh and the Lothians.
