Clinical Genetics Service
South East Scotland Genetic Service
The Genetic Service is based at the Western General Hospital in Edinburgh. The service is located in the David Brock Building, which is on Porterfield Road, in front of the main Out Patients Department building and across from the Royal Victoria Building. Entry is through the blue door at the Crewe Road end.
We run a number of general genetic clinics across Lothian, Borders and Fife. Several specialist clinics including Neurogenetics, Marfan Syndrome and Endocrine Genetics, are held in Edinburgh. These pages provide basic information about the South East Scotland Genetic Service including the variety of genetic disorders we assess and the services we offer. Information is divided into sections aimed at patients, health professionals and students, but all of the content is freely available.
