It is important to note that arts programmes are not funded from medical resources. Funding is usually sought from charitable trusts, arts councils, lottery funds, business, communities and private donations.
Funders for Royal Infirmary projects include:
Awards for All, Blythe Family Trust, Colinton Parish Church, Consort Healthcare Ltd, Craigsbank Parish Church, Edinburgh Interfaith Association, Edinburgh Presbytery, Edinburgh Soroptimists, Greenbank Church, Greenside Parish Church, Heritage Lottery Fund, Hope Scott Trust, Hospital Endowments, The Janet Irvine Fund, Murrayfield Parish Church, The Nurses League, Pagan Conference, Portobello Parish Church, Provincial Grand Lodge of Edinburgh, Queensferry Parish Church, The Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh Volunteers, Royal Order of Scotland, Scottish Arts Council Lottery Fund, Scottish Midland Co-operative Society Ltd, Simpson Midwives League, St Catherine’s Argyle Church, St Gregory’s rc Church, St Mark’s Unitarian Church, Trustees Savings Bank.
In addition to the above, a considerable number of private individuals and families have made contributions to The Sanctuary, in memory of loved ones, sometimes in celebration of a special occasion or their family story.
