Roodlands Hospital entrance is changing

Hospital Road entrance closed from 13 February 2017
Construction work on the new East Lothian Community Hospital started in October 2016.  We hope to complete the first phase of works on Friday 10th February, which will see part of the new car park for the hospital completed.  This will serve as parking for Roodlands Hospital staff and patients during the rest of the construction.  Further spaces will be constructed in the final phase of the project.

Hospital Road entrance closed

This means that the Hospital Road entrance will be closed from Monday 13th February 2017.

From that date, the entrance and exit for the car park and hospital will be via Alderston Road off the Haldane Avenue.

We will be putting up signage to direct you. We know that this is a big change but hope that you will bear with us and use the visitor and patient parking as marked in the new car park.

Patient drop-off

You will still be able to use the patient drop-off area outside the existing Outpatient Department and Surgical Block by following the one-way system as marked.

We hope that this will not cause you too much difficulty. This change frees up the land at Roodlands for the construction of East Lothian Community Hospital.  Many thanks in anticipation of your patience during this period.
