Tim Davison, Chief Executive

  • To provide strong, effective and visible leadership in the development of high level, holistic strategies for health improvement and health services in NHS Lothian in line with Scottish Government policies and priorities.  As the Accountable Officer accountable to the Scottish Parliament, directly manage the resources available to the Board, integrating these with other available resources in the local community, and deploying them in order to achieve the maximum improvement in the health of the population.
  • As a member of the NHS Lothian Board and leader of the Joint Management Team to fully contribute to and participate in the corporate management and governance of NHS Lothian.
  • Influence and shape the future provision of health services in Scotland through participation in national strategic committees providing leadership on behalf of the Board Chief Executives as required.
  • As part of the South East and Tayside Region (SEAT) actively promote the development of regional planning in relation to specialist healthcare services and in particular provide leadership for SEAT and management direction to the Regional Planning Director.
