Draft Report on Children's Services Received By Board

Board members have received a draft report on the future shape of children’s inpatient services in NHS Lothian.

The draft report comes after an independent review of the service was completed by the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health (RCPCH).

The RCPH are now finalising the report, with the final version due to be presented to the board at its next meeting in June.

Jim Crombie, Chief Officer, Acute Care, NHS Lothian, said: “I want to ensure that we can deliver the safest services for children across Lothian which is why we commissioned the experts at the Royal College of Paediatric and Child Health to carry out an independent review.

"The College is now finalising the report and this will be presented to the board in June.”
