Final preparations are under way for Edinburgh’s first official recovery concert. The Lothians and Edinburgh Abstinence Programme (LEAP) is hosting the concert on Saturday 6th November to celebrate that recovery can and does happen.

People in recovery, their family and friends, and those who support recovery are invited to gather in the Capital for a night of musical celebrations.

The double stage concert, boasting an impressive line-up from Edinburgh’s music scene, will run from 4:00pm until 9:30pm at Barclay Viewforth Church Centre in Bruntsfield.

Dr David McCartney, Clinical Lead for LEAP, said:

“The concert is about more than just celebrating recovery. It will bring together the recovery community in Edinburgh and mark the amazing achievements people make on their recovery journeys.
“I’d like to thank the bands and artists, who have given their time freely, and the people, both staff and volunteers, who have worked so hard to bring this incredible concert together.
“It promises to be an event to remember so get your tickets quickly.”

Tickets cost £6 and are available from the LEAP website or at the door on the night. Proceeds will be used to complements the work of LEAP and help people on the recovery journey by providing additional support in treatment and aftercare.

Graduates from the LEAP programme will be stewarding on the evening and food and soft drinks will be provided by The Serenity Cafe.
