Changes to car parking at Western General Hospital

Changes to car parking at the Western General Hospital have been put in place in a bid to make it easier for staff, visitors and patients.

The new plans, which come into force on July 27, are designed to reduce congestion on the main approach roads and within the grounds

Car park one, previously used for staff without permits, will be turned into an area for visitors and patients. Car park two in turn will be changed into an area reserved for staff without permits. Car park nine, which is currently a permitted area, will also be used by staff without permits.

Meanwhile an extra 35 spaces are being created in car park 12 for staff permit holders. Another 35 places will follow in car park six by the end of the month for staff with permits.
