New West Calder Primary Care and Resource Centre Gets Green Light

NHS Lothian and West Lothian Council have given the go ahead for a new purpose built primary care centre in West Calder. The centre is designed to meet the predicted population growth within the area and will replace the health services currently provided by the existing West Calder Medical Practice and Polbeth and Stewart Street clinics.

It is anticipated that the new centre will provide a range of consulting and treatment rooms and will include:

  • 12 consulting rooms
  • Practice nurse accommodation
  • 2 treatment rooms
  • 1 health education room
  • Community consulting rooms
  • Podiatry treatment rooms

Charles Winstanley, Chair, NHS Lothian said:
