New Chair Appointed for West Lothian CHCP Board

Theresa Douglas has been appointed chair of the West Lothian Community Health and Care Partnership (CHCP) Board. Theresa replaces Bob Anderson who is moving to become chair of the Edinburgh Community Health Partnership.

David Belfall, the current chair of Edinburgh Community Health Partnership is retiring from this position which he has held for more than a year.

Charles Winstanley, Chair, NHS Lothian said:

 

“I am delighted Theresa, who has been a member of the CHCP since January, has now agreed to take on the role of Chair. She has worked in the health service for many years and brings a wealth of experience to her new role and I know Theresa will take on the task with enthusiasm and dedication.
 
“I would also like to say a heartfelt thank you to our departing chair, Bob Anderson for his commitment and hard work in continuing to raise the high standard of healthcare for the people of West Lothian. I wish him well in his new role where I am sure his expertise and skills will be a big asset to the team in Edinburgh.”
 

 

Theresa Douglas, Chair, West Lothian CHCP, said:
 
 “I have enjoyed being part of the CHCP and I am looking forward to the challenges this new role will bring. Having had many years of experience of working in clinical roles, including community nursing for 13 years, in a range of healthcare settings throughout West Lothian, I relish the opportunity to work, using my skills and knowledge, for the benefit of the local community.”

 

 
West Lothian Council's executive councillor for health and care, Ellen Glass commented:
