New Fauldhouse Health and Community Facility gets off the ground

West Lothian Council has appointed the winning tender and work is expected to start on site next month.

The new £7.2 million Fauldhouse Partnership Centre, will offer integrated health, social care and community services for the local community. The Centre is also being built in collaboration with Lothian and Borders Police.

The new centre will include the following services:

  • Two GP practices and associated community services
  • Two chair dental surgery
  • Pharmacy
  • Swimming Pool
  • Library
  • Creche
  • Learning Suite
  • Health and fitness Suite
  • Café
  • Community information system
  • Sports Hall
  • Police
  • Community youth room
  • All waether pitches

“I am delighted that the plans for the new Fauldhouse Partnership Centre are moving forward. This development demonstrates our continued investment in healthcare services in West Lothian and the success of our working relationship with West Lothian Council.”


David Kelly, Director of West Lothian Community Health and Care Partnership, said:
“This is an exciting development for the people in Fauldhouse and will bring significant health and social care benefits for local residents. The addition of fully equipped dental services will bring these services into the community for the first time and will be a great asset in helping to improve children’s dental health in particular.”


Councillor Ellen Glass, Executive member for Health and Care, added:
“ I’m delighted that the new Fauldhouse Health and Community Campus will offer improved health and leisure facilities to the local community.
“It builds on the successful cooperative approach of the Strathbrock Partnership Centre, and takes it one step further by incorporating leisure facilities.”
