NHS Lothian sexual health services praised by new report

Dr Dermot Gorman, Consultant in Public Health Medicine, NHS Lothian, said:

"NHS Lothian is working with our partners, including the Scottish Government, to improve sexual health in Lothian and we're pleased to see so much of our work highlighted in this annual report.
"There is very positive feedback from users of our family planning service with 98% indicating satisfaction in a recent survey - and our innovation of employing a Polish clinical worker in Family Planning Clinics is praised.

He continued:

"The HIV Comeback Tour, which aims to raise awareness of the risks of HIV to gay and bisexual men and highlights the importance of getting a HIV test, is also commended in this report. This has been shortlisted for a prestigious award for the best use of photography in a public relations campaign.
"Work by Healthy Respect, a national demonstration project hosted by NHS Lothian, in Lothian schools is also highlighted positively by the report."
