Edinburgh & Lothians Health Foundation (ELHF) supports healthier, longer lives for the people of Lothian. We invest in the promotion of better health and wellbeing across Edinburgh and the Lothians. Last year we contributed over £5 million in charitable grants to health-improvement projects.
ELHF has supported the Celebrating Success Awards since 2012, to recognise the outstanding individuals and teams who go above and beyond in their jobs every day of the year. This grant is part of a funding programme of staff development.

The SCHOOL OF HEALTH AND SOCIAL CARE, Edinburgh Napier University
Edinburgh Napier University’s School of Health & Social Care provides a vibrant teaching and research environment for over 2,500 students and 130 staff. It delivers a world class learning experience and undertakes pioneering research with a focus on practical and applied results.

The College of medicine and Veterinary Medicine and the University of Edinburgh is proud to support the NHS Lothian award for Innovation, Quality and Productivity. For more than four centuries University of Edinburgh staff have been at the forefront of developments in medicine, biomedicine and science. For the last 60 years since its inception, the University has worked closely with colleagues in the NHS both locally and through the UK. Darwin, Simpson and Conan Doyle were students in Edinburgh and the College is internationally renowned for its research and teaching. Our staff have and continue to revolutionise surgery, publish era defining books and importantly with colleagues in the NHS have paved the way for life saving medical breakthroughs and introduced to the world many inventions, discoveries and ideas.
The Royal College of Midwives
The Royal College of Midwives are the trade union and professional organisation for midwifery in Scotland. They represent midwives, student midwives and maternity care support workers, and are the only organisation run by midwives for midwives and the maternity teams who support them. They are the voice of midwifery, providing excellence in representation, professional leadership, education and influence for and on behalf of midwives.
They actively support and campaign for improvements for maternity services and provide professional leadership for one of the most established of all clinical disciplines.
Royal College of Nursing
RCN Scotland campaigns on issues of concern to nurses both registered and unregistered, student nurses, midwifes and patients, influences health policies and promotes excellence in nursing practice on behalf of its members.
We now have more than 39,000 members in Scotland and are continuing to grow. Increasing our membership is one of our top priorities. The larger our membership, the more we can achieve together, strengthening our ability to influence and ensuring we remain the voice of nurses and nursing in Scotland.
The RCN represents nurses and nursing, promotes excellence in practice and shapes health policies.
