Emergency Contraception

If you need advice about emergency contraception when clinics are closed you should phone NHS 24 on 08454 242424, or visit www.nhs24.com.

Most pharmacies in Lothian offer the emergency contraception pill free of charge to anyone aged 13 and over who is registered with a GP in Scotland. The sooner you take it the more effective it is - so don't delay. You can contact your nearest SRH clinic for further advice as soon as the next one is open.

Visit the Emergency Contraception page on the NHS Lothian Sexual Health website for more information.
