Prescriptions

Repeat Prescriptions

If you are on regular medication you will be able to order your prescriptions using your specially printed order form which is attached you your prescription. You may have to make an appointment with your usual GP to request medication which is not on your repeat prescription record.  The receptionist will inform you if this is necessary. Your request must be with the Practice by 12pm that day and will be available to collect the following day.

Please note that we do not accept repeat prescription requests over the phone, unless you are Housebound or it’s a Medical Emergency.

Repeat prescriptions can be requested in a number of ways:

  • You can hand your repeat prescription order form into the surgery.  We have a prescription collection box situated at the reception desk for your convenience.
  • You can post your order form. Please enclose a stamped addressed envelope if you would like to have your prescription posted out to you.
  • You can email your prescription request to: Reception.s70357@nhslothian.scot.nhs.uk (due to the recent changeover in computer system, we are no longer able to send back a confirmed receipt email. If you are unsure if we have received your prescription by email, please telephone reception and they will check this for you).
  • You can fax your request on 0131 551 5343
