Midlothian Quality Improvement Team

NHS Lothian has established Quality Improvement Teams in each directorate, including Community Health Partnerships. We are required to produce a Quality Improvement Programme (QIP) each year, which aims to improve the quality of care.

The Programmes have a number of "must do's" including addressing risk management and clinical effectiveness, but also ensuring that all teams have evidence of patient experience and involvement influencing the care and the service that is provided. The programmes are reported on twice a year and are reviewed annually.
