About Midlothian CHP

Midlothian Community Health Partnership (CHP) is part of NHS Lothian. Community Health Partnerships have been set up across Scotland to provide a wide range of community based health services delivered in the community, in homes, health centres and clinics.

Midlothian CHP manages community health services across the county and aims to help improve health and address health inequalities. Our aim is to work closely with social services, voluntary services and the community to establish and develop high quality local services that meet the needs of everyone in Midlothian. We want to make sure that the right care is delivered at the right time and in the right place and to work to improve people’s health.

We provide services to around 84,000 people. We currently have 13 GP practices, one hospital, and a number of clinics and community based services, including community nursing and therapy services as well as pharmacists/chemists, dentists and opticians.
